I’ve been working with the tarot for over 50 years, primarily with the Thoth deck. In the last ten years I’ve moved almost entirely away from the psychological/mystical perspective and adopted an action-and-event-oriented approach, mainly in the areas of problem-solving and decision-making. I’ve created around 300 spreads during that time, most with a pragmatic focus. They can be found by using the “Select Category” drop-down menu on my home page.

I’ve been involved with tarot and astrology since 1970, having been introduced to both while in Germany via Linda Goodman’s Sun Signs and the then-recently-published Aquarian Tarot. My long-standing fascination with Aleister Crowley’s Thoth deck and its companion Book of Thoth  persisted from 1971 until 2011, when I joined the now defunct Aeclectic Tarot forum and expanded my reach with the Rider-Waite-Smith deck and its spin-offs, along with Lenormand reading, horary astrology and geomancy.

After learning to hand-calculate natal charts from Jeff Mayo’s books, I began my in-depth astrological studies with the writing of Dane Rudhyar and Marc Edmund Jones, followed by that of psychological astrologer Robert Hand. After Rob Hand distanced himself from modern astrology in favor of a classical Hellenistic approach, I began slowly backsliding (or awakening, depending on your viewpoint) into the methods of traditional astrology, which is where I am today. My main interest is horary.

Until the end of 2018, I was reading tarot professionally in the Keene, NH area, and am a member of the Massachusetts Tarot Society and the Tarosophy Tarot Association. I’ve been published in the American Tarot Association’s monthly newsletter and quarterly journal, and in another international quarterly journal, The Cartomancer; my tarot and horary astrology writing currently appears in in the monthly online magazine AstroLogic. I have also compiled my blog essays in five e-books on the Lulu self-publishing platform.
